Wow I have to say, I have gotten some great feedback in other communities in the past on medhelp.org but am disappointed that I posted this within this community two times with the last time being on July 11th and have not gotten any responses at all. Yes Cyclic can be a complicated thing but it is here at medhelp.org that I did in fact learn of the possibility that Cyclic and SOD might be linked in some way. I am gathering that its a great possibility that the one person with knowledge about these disordersAdjustment disorder Anorexia nervosa Asperger syndrome Autism Autoimmune disorders Bipolar disorder Bipolar disorder Bleeding disorders Borderline personality disorder Bulimia Chronic motor tic disorder just has not seen the post. I say this of course knowing that its a hit and miss situation. I suppose I will keep doing my research elsewhere to gain the knowledge in the effort to help a child that is 15 and is severely disabled (Diagnosed as having Cyclic).
SOD can present with a great deal of vomiting. However, there are more components to SOD with include symptoms that resemble a full-scale gallbladder attack, alternation in bowel habit and a number of other problems. You can see an overview of SOD at: http://hopkins-gi.nts.jhu.edu/pages/latin/templates/index.cfm?pg=disease1&organOrgan-1 nr=3&disease=12&lang_id=1
