DX with IBS but nothing has helped

W,M,51yrs,smoker,normal BP,Has Blood clotting disorder,on coumadin several years,now for 1 yr has been dx with severe IBS,pain from lt to rt upper abd,diarrhea bouts,nausea,feels abd doing flip flops,hot flashes,arms can feel very heavy,all over weakness. These can all happen at once,but not all the time. On celexa for anger issues.Has had ugi,barium enemas,colonoscopy,seen in Er 3x,given pain meds,done antacids. Seen GI doc,Primary doc,and accupuncture that seems to have helped but not a remedy. Please I am worried about my husband.

Sometimes medication can do this...if you can remember any drugs he may have began a month or so before this IBS started, then the prescribing doc needs to review the side effects and change up the kind of meds he's taking.  That happened to me, lasted six months, went to hospital, also colonoscopy, the whole nine yards.  No one knew what was wrong, so I figured it out.  As soon as I changed the medicine (it was a tranquilizer), the IBS went away, altho my tummy is still pretty sensitive sometimes.
