Dark diarrhea and Vomitting!

Dark diarrhea and Vomitting!

I'm a female 21 years old. Last night I didn't have a complete dinner, I ate a little bit of cheese and about 3 glasses of red wine. At night (4am) I woke up with a little nausea, I drank some water but I didn't go to the bathroom to throw up. An hour later I went back to sleep and I woke up at 9am and went to the bathroom - to my surprise I had very dark (greenish black) and watery diarrhea- and then I had nausea and I threw up once, and then went back to diarrhea again. I usually don't get a bad reaction from alcohol and I have no idea what could have triggered this stomach problem and yesterday I didn't have diarrhea... SO a little advice please...

usually dark stools (not a doctor) but usually darker stools indicate blood in the stool (not all the time but..) with nausea and stomach problems it could be just a virus/bad food OOOOOrrrr it could be an ulcer.   If it persists for more than a few days i'd get in to a doctor.  He'll probably order a blood test for an ulcer.  I'd take it easy on alchohol and spicy foods until it goes away.

Take a "wait and see" approach for a few days.  If you don't get any better, see your doctor.  There are lots of things that can darken your stools, including Red Wine.  And to have this much wine with so little food, I would think this could be the culprit.  But if it is, you should feel better in a day or two.  Sounds like it could also be food poisoning, which will go away on it's own via the diarrhea and vomiting removing it from your body.  Try to stay hydrated in the meantime.
