I had a severely thrombosed hemorrhoid and went to a surgeon this afternoon. She did a procedure right there. Numbed me with local anesthetic and proceeded to remove the clots
and finished with 3 sutures. I was told that I would feel better in 48 hours and sent home to sit on ice.
Within an hour of getting home I was in excruciating pain. It was worse then when I went in the first time. I checked down there and it looked like the thrombosed hemorrhoid was back and 3 times the original size. So I managed to drive back to the surgeon. She said it was very swollen
before) but that she couldn't remove all that tissue in the office and that I would need to go to an OR. I have two small children so I couldn't just go off to the OR so she numbed me up again and said she got all the swelling
After reading up on this more I'm not sure if what I had today was considered a hemorhroidectomy or not. I thought that a hemorrhoidectomy was much more involved than what I had but am not sure now.
