Digestive Problems after Gallbladder Removal

I had my gallbladder removed on March 19th.  After the surgery I continued to have a great deal of neasea and I belched constantly.  The surgeon kept telling me that I was going to take my body time to adjust to the gallbladder being removed.  



I finally went to see a GI doctor and he felt that I had stones in my bile duct and scheduled an ERCP that was done on May 7th.  They found that my bile duct was completely blocked by sludge.



I started to feel a little bit better - at least I could keep my food down and the belching slowed down some.



A few weeks ago - I started belching constantly and I get a lot of pressure in my chest and a lot of heartburn.  I just had my second ERCP on July 6th - everything looked okay.



Has anyone else experienced the heartburn/belching/chest pressure after having their gallbladder removed?  If so - how long did it last?

My wife has had these same symptoms for three or four years now.  She had gallbladder removed and has had increasing pain radiating from between the shoulder blades through to the lower chest, very very severe at times.  Belching, nausea.  Elevated liver enzymes as measured twice after two of the attacks, but normal inbetween.  These problems started quite soon after the surgery.  Only solution so far has been to take nitroglycerin tabs, but even these are failing.  Her doc today suggested a diagnosis of SOD, and suggested we consider an ercp with possible sphincterotomy.  However, the risk of pancreatitis associated with that procedure is bothering me.....
