I was seen by my Gastroenterologist for gallbladder symptoms....pain in right ribs, frequent belching, nausea often accompanied by a migraine - he ordered an ultrasound....no stones but a gallbladder polyp....he then ordered a Fraction Ejection and they say my gallbladder is working at 75%.  I still have the pain in right side.  Could this be from the polyp?  If not, then what?  I do not suffer from Gerd, or acid reflux.   Last night I was awoken by this pain, it was a hot stabbing pain that radiated to my back but only on the right side.  I notice that if I lay on my stomach I have a slight stabbing pain in lower right rib.  What is going on?  Also, am I crazy for wanting my gallbladder out since I have this polyp.  Polyps can become cancerous and I don't want to chance it.  I have a history of gallbladder disease and cancer in my family.

The latest medical recommendations suggest those with GB polyps have the GB removed for just the reason you stated - polyps can become cancerous.

Since you have a high ejection fraction, you may want to consider getting tested for celiac disease. Many with high EF's and gallbladder issues find out that many symptoms could be due to that problem.
