Dilated Common Duct, Weight Loss and Pain

As well as the above, my symptoms include almost constant stitch like ache either side of my stomach, a feeling of having a 'bruised' stomach (as if I'd been kicked), feeling nauseous most of the time and constant lack of appetite. I go through phases of eating causing pain and upset stomach. I have given up eating normally and can no longer enjoy an evening out at a restaurant with family and friends. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms and been given an explanation or prognosis by their specialist?

The consultant said only that 'you could just be made that way'. As she removed my gall bladder about six years ago, it's strange she has never said it could be related to that surgery. Is it something they don't like to admit?

Did the doctor give you a cause for the dilation of the CBD? That can happen after gallbladder surgery or can be related to disease processes in some cases.
