bowl obstruction. That means the doc went in, fixed the problems and then took look at everything, bowl by bowl. I am having a difficult time moving from a liquid to a solid diet. I am experiencing so much tightness and pain from meeting my basic hydradration and nutrition requirements, that I have been unable to eat enough to pass more than one small stool since the operation. The liquids cause so much discomfort that it is difficult for me start eating to meet the fiber required so that I can make a full bowl movement. When I eat solids, I get so much discomfort and pain that I have to stop eating. Then I wait for hours until the pain, and tightness subsides. By that time, it is time to start drinking again to meet my hydration and nutrition requirements. The hospital sent me home with percaset and a stool softener, but I hesitate to take them but I suspect they will only slow down the functioning of my bowls and I want to get back to normal just as quickly as possible. I am willing to live with some pain as long as I know I am moving in the right direction and that the cause of the pain is explainable. I have provided a chronology up till today for your review.
What do you suggest I do so that I can move from liquids to solids?
