Dislocated Throat?

Hello All.

About 4 years ago me and some friends were hanging out and one of them made me laugh extremely hard. In the middle of laughing my adams apple "popped". There was a sharp pain and extreme discomfort. Some days its not too noticable but on other days it extremely annoying.

You know the feeling when you have ate too much too fast and your throat feels like its closing? Thats the feeling that is in my throat all day. I feel like my throat needs to be popped back in place or maybe Ive broken some cartledge in my throat.

I have read many things about people and popping or clicking throats and they say that going to specialists and getting the camera shoved down their throats came up with no results. I dont want to spend money on a dr. visit if they dont know what this is, but I cant deal with it like this and need it fixed.

Any advice?

This happened to me tonight it caused me severe discomfort to swallow and talk it also sent a very sharp pain to the side of my head to the point I had to hold my head between both hand and press hard.

My Adams apple was completely out of place with the right side of it buldging I tried to push it back into place and it clicked really loudly and just causes more pain it was also visual.

Now I did one thing that fixed it straight away here are the steps I took.

1. Got a glass of water save it for the end when it's back and have a slow drink.
2. Put your chin down completely into your chest while standing take a deep breathe in and out stand up completely straight look up when you finish this turn your head left and right slowly rinse and repeat this it usually slowly moves back I to position.

I hope this has helped someone! Just take your time while doing this.

When I was young about 60 years ago, my adams apple would become dislodged for no apparent reason!  I could always work it back into place without too much discomfort.  This happened about 5 or 6 times at different intervals.  I didn't worry too much about it and told no one about it!  It's been about 50 or more years now and I have had no further episodes of this dislodgement! I am lucky I guess but I would have your throat looked at anyway!!!  Old Cliche!  Better be safe than sorry!
Good Luck!

Well, I know how you feel about not wanting to blow money on finding nothing, but in this case, I think a visit and a simple x-ray would probably tell you a lot. You've got a specific event that triggered the problem and it's very "mechanical" so I think you'd get a good result pretty quickly. Plus, either way it needs to be fixed. Give it a try.
