Distended Stomach and Cyst on Liver

My Grandmother, who is 90, has been living with a distended stomach for about 5-10 years. She says that the operation to fix a hernia was the cause of it, but it seems to grow a little every year. She looks like she is about 7 months pregnant. Just this passed year the doctors finally looked at her stomach and found a cyst on her liver, they didn't do anything and only said they would "watch it for any changes" and that it was about the size of a softball. Could this "cyst" be the cause of her distended stomach or is there something more going on here??

Sounds unrelated. Liver surery, especially at 90 is a LAST resort. I agree with his plan. Enjoy her and all of her wisdom. I bet she has wonderful stories to tell!
