Diverticular Stricture

by jasamina, Sep 17, 2008 10:41AM
I am a 54 year old female. I have had abdominal problems for 2 years and was diagnosed with IBS, meds didn't seem to help. I recently had a colonoscopy and EGD, my Dr said he couldn't finish the colonoscopy because of a diverticular stricture, now I am having a barium enema test ( what fun) tomorrow. The biopsies came back fine.
I keep experiencing waves of nausea, left sided pain, sweating and weight loss.
I didn't know a stricture could cause all these problems. I eat a high fiber diet and still I have these symptoms. I guess I'll know more after the barium test but has anyone experienced these problems and if so what can be done?
Many thanks.
