Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I recently had an episode resulting in going to the ER by ambulance. I am 41 yrs old & I experienced rapidRapid shallow breathing onset of very painfulPainful menstrual periods abdominal cramps. The cramps came in waves, and I began to have chillsChills & light-headedness. I felt like I was going to pass out & told the friend who was with me. I don't remember the next few minutes. She said that i slurred my words, and that my left handHand or foot spasms Hand tremor/arm was twitching & my headHead and face reconstruction Head injury Head lice Indications of head injury Radial head injury pulled to the left. I was awake & talking but I have no memoryMemory loss Mental status tests of this. My friend is convinced that I had a seizure. My next memory is that I couldn't hear very well - everything seemed muffled for a few minutes. Head CT scan was fine, chest xray fine. Blood work showed white blood cells up, so infection was present. Abdominal CT scan showed diverticulosis with some evidence of diverticulitis. ER & my doctor said I did not have a seizure, but was passing out. On a few other occasions, I have had a dizzy spell with diarrhea & cramping, A few months ago, I thought I would pass out while having cramping. I can't find any info on this. Is it common? Apparently I have an infection right now in addition to the diverticulitis, but they are not sure where. I am on Cipro & Flagyl (ugh - horrible) & feeling somewhat better after 5 days. Should I see a gastroenterologist? I'm worried this will happen again - and I'm afraid I will be driving or something. I'd appreciate any comments or advice. Thanks.
