pains and stomach cramps and Kaopectate helped some. I have been to my internist and they have tested everything except my colon. All the tests of the stool, urine
, ultrasound of gall bladder all came back negative - healthy liver, gall bladder, pancreas and kidneys. I was on Cipro and did fine for one week and now am taking Nexium and starting Culturelle tonight. I had a severe stomach attach for 3 days when tried Lactaid milk. I am now off of Cipro since no bacteria found in stool. I have reintroduced normal foods and last nights one small slice of pizza plain with cheese woke me up this morning 7 hours after eating it to the same thing I had 3 weeks ago of severe stomach and gas pains again! I have experienced tender areas in my stomach and woke up one morning to severe tenderness of my ribs in the center at the tips as hurt so bad that I felt like I was having a heart attack. All has seemed to subsided.
Any advice or thoughts of what this may be as I do plan to now go to a Gastreenterologist this week and see if she can give me some answers as I am frustrated and want to feel better! :(

Two possibilities: 1) you may be allergic to milk protein (lots of that in cheese); and / or, 2) having gall bladder issues. The abdominal ultrasound can be normal but you may still have gall bladder disease. The definitive diagnosis is a HIDA/CCK scan that calculates the ejection fraction. And, even if it is GB, milk protein -- because it pretty much always comes bound to milk fat -- may be an aggravating factor.
To learn what foods contain milk protein (casein/casinate) look at the no-milk web page. To learn about an effective low fat GB disease diet see docsmed.com (Dr. Smedly) the St. Anthony Diet. His theory's a little unconventional (GB disease causes anorexia) but the diet works very well!
