I am moving in Northern california and was wondering about gi doctor, pcp doctors, internal medicine, Infection disease, endo doctors? I have a very complex medical history. I have motility dysfunction
I suggest that you talk to your current doctors to ge the websites of their specialty certification boards. These sites have physician search capabilities that should be able to lead
you to a good starting place. Look for a doctor that has a fellowship with the board.
Another good site to use for information on a specific doctor you may be considering is
www.healthgrades.com
The site gives the doctor's educational background, fellowships, any actions against them, and patients can rate them. The ratings are certainly not scientific as anyone can rate them and usually only people who REALLY like the doctor or REALLY don't will bother, but it gives you some idea of how their patients feel. I think more people rate the doctors they really like than the other way around. Although I did rate a GI that was unbearably rude to me.
Healthgrades will also suggest other doctors within the specialty you may want to consider.
