Hi,
For about 2 months now I have been having problems, say every 2 weeks. What happens is I wake up with a stomach pain ( like a stitch but lower down) then I start to do very foul tasting and smelling burps ( eggy) later on I then have nausea and soon after I do throw up. My mum bought me some activa yoghurts as adviced on this website but if I do eat I get bloated easy and I have lost alot of weight. When I was reading this forum someone mentioned Giadra Lamblia which is like a bug living
in you're stomach. I went on to the internet and searched it and it come up with all the symptons I have e.g. bloating, nausea, vomiting, eggy/sulphric burps, diahrea, stomach pains etc. When I went to my doctor he said I was too young to have this but a woman said her 20 month old baby had the same problems, He gave me tablets which helps neautralize the acid in your stomach but if these do not work I will have to have an appointment in two weeks.
The actuall burps are proberly the worst part. I was just wondering if anyone knew what I could do to try avoid having this again until my appointment. It may be giadra lamblia but some other people have come up with other suggestion i.e. lacktose in tolerant ( I have never had problems with dairy products before) or your gallbladder ( I have never had problems with this before either). My question is though if some many people are experiencing this horrible bug or whatever it is shouldn't doctors take a closer look and actually try to make a medcine for it as not everyone who has this can be lacktose in tolerant!
