Elavated bilirubin

My last 2 blood tests show an elevated bilirubin and low iron count. The doctor says that I have Jaundice. All other liver tests are within normal ranges. I have Graves Disease and have had my thyroid removed. I have circular red blotches on my chest that are real itchy.  Recently my doctor raised my synthroid significantly. Should I be concerned?

if your bilirubin is only slightly high, this could be Gilbert's.

Having jaundice with all liver tests normal + low iron, indicates hemolysis - a break down of red blood cells from some reason. Red blotches...are not normal. It may all be a side effect or allergy to synthroid. You should see the doctor promptly.
