Liver and gallbladder disease is rightly being ruled out.
I agree with the ultrasound. Blood tests looking for hepatitis can also be considered.
Diseases outside the liver can also lead to an elevated GGT. These can include pancreatic disease, myocardial infarction, renal failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, and alcoholism.
These possibilities can be discussed with your personal physician.
