cage, and nausea. CT and ultrasound were normal. The HIDA scan ejection fraction was 85%. HIDA scan results are considered "normal" if above 35%, but I have been doing some research. I found reports of elevated ejection fractions causing the same symptoms as a low one. The medical professionals do not seem to recognize an elevation as being a problem. I saw a GI last week that said all the results were normal. He said he has never heard of an elevated ejection fraction causing issues. He prescribed Bentyl. Anyone have any advice?
Yes, and elevated EF can cause problems. In some cases it can be associated with celiac disease. If you have any symptoms that might suggest the condition be sure to be checked.
