Elevated lipase but normal amylase

Elevated lipase but normal amylase

I am 30 y/o. months ago i had an episode of mild abdominal discomfort so i went to my dr who ordered labs including amylase and lipase suspecting it's gall stones. amylase was normal but serum lipase is elevated, 101.  the pain lasted for 3 hrs and it was intermittent. dr. asked for weekly labs and everytime, lipase is elevated but normal amylase. i had ultrasound to check for gallstones but it was normal. i had CT with contrast but it was normal.  Endoscopy was normal too.  Gastroenterologist said we'll do a 3 month lab follow up which was last monday.  when i got the results, amylase still normal but lipase even went up to 135.  what could be wrong with me?  dr. couldnt figure out what is. help. it is bothering me ....i am having no abdominal pains or other symptoms except for the abnormal lab values. : (.  i was told by someone that it could be the multivatimins i am taking.  i have been taking vitamins since i was a kid but months ago, switched to Walmart brand, Equate since it is cheaper.  also taking Felopdipine 5 mg daily since 2005.  could the meds be affecting my lipase? i'd appreciate a n answer.thanks!
