Hi, Can anyone help to reduce my anxiety please. During a routine ultrasound scan my 75 year old mother was found to have an enlarged pancreatic duct. She cannot recall having any symptoms of pancreatitis in the past, which the surgeon said may have caused the enlargement. Her blood test results are all fine, she has a good appetite, is not losing weight, her stools are normal and she is not jaundiced. I have of course read that an enlarged duct may be a sign of cancer. Is there any other reasons that people can think of that are less worrying?
