Enteral nutrition with J tube due to acute recurring pancreatits

my son had a j tube  installed 3 months ago due to acute recurring pancreatitis, he has continued to lose weight even though he's taking 8 cans (2,000 cals) of Osmolite Cal, he tried Vital Af1.2 Cal but it did not work well as it produced diarrhea and nausea. We belive he's not absorbing the nutritional provided by Osmolite. are there any alternatives to imporve his weight?

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  There are many varieties of tube feeding out there to try.  Are you in touch with a nutritionist to talk to about this?  I personally am on Peptamen with PreBio through my J tube (6 cans daily, 1,500 cal).  There are some formulas that are "predigested" so they are much easier to be absorbed.  Almost all tube feedings will give someone diarrhea though.
