and I have been struggling with a chronic illness for 5 years and it is undiagnosed. My one chronic symptom is severe sharp and sometimes shooting pain located right below where my bottom ribs
hit on both the right and left. Other symptoms that occur frequently are nausea, low appetite, diarrhea, constipation, occasional blood in my stool, fatigue, dizziness, and migraine headaches. I have had 6 endoscopies and 2 colonoscopies all came up normal except for severe unusual linear ulcers in my small intestine in my first two endoscopies that later healed after medication and excess bile in all my endoscopies with unknown cause. I have been tested for Crohn's Disease and was negative and have had all other GI related blood tests, also a Barium
and deep tissue therapy, both provided little to no relief. Every year my condition seems to evolve and develop new symptoms and doctors, even the Stanford Chronic Pain clinic, continue to scratch
their heads and come up empty handed when it comes to a diagnosis or treatment. I am currently only on Cymbalta to treat the chronic pain and birth control for hormone therapy. Anyone have any fresh ideas?
Welcome to the gastroenterology community! Have you had an abdominal CT scan? Have you had your gallbladder checked out? I also go to Stanford, however I have never been to the chronic pain clinic, and I have had good success from taking Neurontin for abdominal pain.
