Excessive Gas

by AEBaby, Aug 01, 2001 12:00AM
Help!  My stomach feels really funny.  It feels like it's empty but it's not.  It has to be air/gas in it.  It starts making these weird noises when it moves.  I can also feel it when it moves to the left side of my body (intenstine). My doctor said I just have stress but I REALLY doubt that.  It's just not normal. Does anyone have this?  Please respond if you do.. and tell me how you handle this or what did your doctor say?  Thanks.

Hi,

What it sounds like you are describing is for certain gas inside of you. The weird noises are the air (gas) moving through your stomach, intestines etc...nothing abnormal I should suspect. I to have the feeling that something is 'moving' through the left handside of my body with gas. Basically, the gas is just following the normal route for expulsion so to speak. Are you getting the gas after eating i.e. the more you eat, the more you suffer from it? I suspect that this is the gas, it is possible you are suffering from slight IBS...And stress does not help this at all, any concerns see your GP...
