Hello, I am a 50 year old male, who has excessive stools (usually 4 times a day). I drink alcohol regularly and I also drink coffee. I normally go to the bathroom 4 times day, and I do up to 3-4 feces at a time, which are like normal sized feces. I have been doing this for as long as I remember, and only now did I realise this is not normal. (I did not know that you normally produce 1 feces at a time.)
Is this due to alcohol consumption, or is it due to something else? Thank you.
Every person is different when it comes to how often you have a BM. If this has been going on for as long as you can remember, then this is normal for you. Most people have more than 1 feces during a BM and it is normal. Unless you are experiencing a change in your BMs with color
, blood, or dark/black stools, or stomach pain during one, you're fine. Any doctor will tell you that you go by what has been the norm for you. Having only one feces during a BM is totally false. Some people may, most don't.
I would consider cutting back on the alcohol before you do start seeing other problems as a result of it.
