Excruciating Left Abdominal Pain

I need to know what to do next, because I feel like I'm running out of options.

Colonoscopy is clear.
MRI clear
CT scan clear

Everything looks fine and everything is not fine.

I'm sick of having test after test after test and *nothing* is being found.

I have extreme pain my left abdomen near the waist...but tends to sort of 'jolt' up and down as well. All tests are clear.  Sometimes it's absolutely horrendous and I just want to be sedated.  Other times it's bearable.   This is now starting on the right side as well, only not as severe.

It does NOT increase or decrease with any sort of food intake or activity, etc....nothing spurs it on it just comes and goes as it pleases.

I've been told I have endometrial hyperplasia (thickening of the uterine lining), which the ob/gyn gave me birth control pills for and told me to come back in 2 months for another pelvic and intervaginal ultra.  My pain is way further up than where the 'woman bits' are, and it's not that. I have PCOS and I know exactly what uterine and ovarian pain feels like....this is NOT it.

I sailed through the colonoscopy apart from 1 minor little diverticulosis and it was shallow, and barely there and the GI said that's not the problem.

What do I do next?  I'm extremely frustrated.

Sounds like IBS.  Are you taking magnesium supplements?  Magnesium helps with IBS and GERD both and is something nearly everyone is just as deficient in as they are in vitamin D.  The reason I think it's IBS is because you've had all those tests come back negative, and IBS does cause such pain.  I've had it bad enough I couldn't walk.  IBS symptoms can range from diarrhea to constipation and everything else in between.  It is common for folks with chronic conditions of all sorts to experience IBS.  The pain sounds like IBS pain in the descending colon on the left side of the abdomen.
