Exteme Vomiting

My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in april and they removed part of her colon. She just finished her chemo and she has not eaten in 10 days and can barely keep any fluids down. she is also constipated. her vomit is green and smells like a bowel movement. she is on aciphex and zofran. nothing is helping. What should I do?

I am so sorry for your Mom's situation.  You sound like a good, caring, loving daughter. My wife just finished her 2nd of 12 chemo treatment for colon cancer.  What helps her most is positive/hopeful attitude, relaxation/meditation tapes She also has meds for nausea, vomiting, and pain but she hadn't taken any.  You need to inform her oncologist ASAP.  She can be fed through a tube.  She needs nutrition (Booster Nutritional Drink excellent) and needs to take Metamucil, but Benefiber much better. Make sure you take care of yourself too.
