FOR CALGAL

Hello again.  Nothing is determined yet for my problems.  I have had all blood work returned good and a series of xrays.
One was an ultra sound , CT scan, Barium xrays of stomach and not a lot was found.
An asking if any of these tests show polyps in colin?
Have had them before and am about 3 years passed my schedule of haveing another colostomy.
The CT showed diverticulosis in colon but nothing else in the data.
Have had diahrrea for years now all of a sudden harder to pass stools.
I am very worried .  Help if you can.
Doctors do not do much to help!

Some people experience crampy pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen, bloating, and constipation with diverticulosis. For that problem docs typically suggest a high fiber diet, so you may want to discuss it with your doc.

It depends on the type of polyp - some can be found with a CT scan.

If you should have had a colonoscopy and have had problems in the past you may want to discuss having one soon with your doc. But depending upon how severe the diverticulosis is, you should also discuss the pro's and con's of having a colonoscopy.
