False Negative CT?

How common are False Negative CT scans for a small bowel restriction due to Adhesions? I truly believe I am experiencing the begining stages of my third bowel obstruction due to scar tissue, however a CT scan was negative... The first one barely showed up and they had to perform exploratory surgery, but at the time I was already hospitalized due to severe pain but this was months after the pains began. Now I am hoping that I have caught it early but nothing has shown up on the tests. Am I just being paranoid because of the past, or is there a chance that I do have the beginings of another restriction and it just isn't enough to show up yet? Please advise!
