I drank beer very consistanty for about 15 years. I quit 2 months ago. I decided to get myself checked out, so I had blood tests which all came back normalNormal saline flush. Last week I had a CT Scan, and it indicated a FattyXanthoma Liver. I will be seeing a Gastroenterologist next week.
The CT Scan indicated that my liver is of normalNormal saline flush size. I've had some persistent pain in my upper right side - it comes and goes. I think the pain has been in decline and it's getting less noticeable
I'm 42 years old, in good phyiscal condition, and not overweight. Will the fattyXanthoma liver go away? Is there any treatment in addition to staying away from alcohol? From what I read on-line, they say that alcohol induced fatter liver will go way in 4-6 weeks. I've been dry for about 7 weeks now. How long might it take?
