Does anybody know or has anybody been diagnosed with this condition?I have been diagnosed with a fattyXanthoma liver; from what the doctor explained, a mild condition when I was 25years old. Can someone live a long healthy life with fattyXanthoma liver disease? Can this condition reverse itself; or can and what could make it worse?
Hi Tom-I was also recently told that I had a mild fattyXanthoma liver and also pancreatitisAcute pancreatitis Chronic pancreatitis Pancreatitis Pancreatitis, acute - ct scan Pancreatitis, chronic - ct scan. Whilst a fattyXanthoma liver is often caused by too much continued alcohol consumption there are other reasons for this. These include prescription drugs, certain illnesses and being overweight. The main thing is to find out what caused yours and then to illiminate it. If the cause is treated or illiminated there should be no further problems and the liver should not get any worse. I found this website very helpful; http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/nonalcoholic-fatty-liver-disease/DS00577
Because of my pancreatitisAcute pancreatitis Chronic pancreatitis Pancreatitis Pancreatitis, acute - ct scan Pancreatitis, chronic - ct scan as well as the fatty liver the dr has just done a ct scan. I should get my results next monday. I personally don't drink so the cause is a bit worrying for me. Let me know how you make out as it is very scary when you are first told this.
Good luck
