My son has had constipation and left side pain for a month after eating 31 ribs. He has had CT scan and x-rays just showing a lot of stool in the colon. He has been trying MiraLax, enemas, stool softeners, you name it. Two days, ago, he thought maybe he just needed to be manually disimpacted but when he went to the ER, they said it was up further in the colon and not in the rectum. They gave him milk of molasses enema that did not work. Then he was totally blocked and started feeling nauseous, so we went back to the ER that evening and the did 2 milk of molasses enemas along with a bottle of mag citrate and that still did not get it out. They admitted him and gave him enemas and lactulose. He passed liquid stools and felt some better but still feels the blockage is still there. He got released feeling the same as he has been. They say he is fine and just needs time to pass it. He has no appetite because he feels all that stuff in there and his side hurts and is still not going. He is going to try MiraLax twice a day and enemas but he said just little flakes are coming out. He feels like he is just going to get backed up again. Please Help! I am so worried about him. He doesn't feel well at all!
