I had a feeding tube placed, then an xray. I don't understand what the results mean. Can you help me understand what this means: "feeding tube projects over the lower adbomen. It may be within a distended stomach or an afferent loop." My question ... is this good or bad?
the results are telling where in your stomach the feeding tube is situated. Looking up afferent loop, and reading the surrounding text above, it sounds like they are trying to see if it's placed where it should or if it may need to be adjusted. From what I read, they may adjust it to be move productive? If you put "afferent loop" in yahoo or google it will give you a bit of information. I know it's not the specific info you were looking for, but maybe it will give u direction to find more info. good luck...
