Feel like I have an ulcer -- only in the evening

For the last few days, I've felt mostly fine until around 9 or 10 at night (I typically eat dinner around 6), at which point I've suddenly experienced a feeling of nausea/rumbling/false hunger that doesn't go away. Eating small things like yogurt or bread keeps it at bay. By the next day, it's gone. I take nexium once a day, though on the advice of my doctor I'm currently taking it twice. I also added Zantac this evening, though I don't yet know if it's helped.

What can cause this sort of feeling ONLY in the evening?

This is hours before I lie down. When it hit last night I was running errands. It seems to happen as soon as the full feeling from dinner goes away.

I have actually had this problem before. It went undiagnosed because it came and went before I went to the doctor, and lasted about 10 days. I did a lot of research on ulcers and home remedies. For some reason the only thing that helped was for me to eat a banana right before laying down. Apparently laying down flat can make it worse and you should lie propped up. See if that helps, but yes, it does sound like the flare up from an ulcer. Be sure to see a doctor if it doesn't improve though.
