Feeling Full All the Time

Feeling Full All the Time

Hello,

A little backround before I post my question.  I am in the military and was in Guam for 5 1/2 months and returned to my base in North Dakota one month ago.  I was fine until about two days after I got back and all of the sudden I got nasal congestion and with that came not a loss of appetite for I still eat three meals a day, but I am always feel full as if something is not 'right'.   I still have the nasal congestion and some post nasal drip.  For the nasal symptoms they said it could be the climate change going from 80F, hot, and humid too negative temps, cold, and dry.  But could that also be affecting my stomach?  I am getting kind of worried that it will be a month I have been going on with this.  I don't feel sick or anything... Just this stomach is always feeling full.  Any suggestions or comments?  Thank you.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  How long has this been going on for?  Do you ever have any nausea?

Coming up on a month this Tuesday.  No, no nausea... I still workout, go to work, and preform my daily routines without hinderence.

The climate might be the reason that your nasal symptoms have changed.  I assume your diet changed a lot when you got home which might be the reason for you stomach problems.  Can you try changing your diet to be more like your diet in Guam?

My diet hasn't really changed since I eat at the dining facility and they are all the pretty much the same Air Force wide.  One thing I notice is that my appetite peaks when I see/think of fatty and greasy food.

The nasal symptoms might be triggering your stomach problems.  I would recommend seeing a specialist like an ENT doctor to be evaluated.

That makes sense because its not like my body doesn't want to eat, it more feels like my body doesn't need to eat.

Yes, post nasal drip can sometimes cause stomach problems, which is best treated by treating the nasal problems.
