Feeling of something stuck in my throat

Hi.  For about 10 days now, I've had this feeling of something being stuck in my throat.  I have no idea what brought this on.  I went to my regular doctor who examined my throat and said there is no swelling, it looks great, I'm young, and to give it 3 weeks.  I can't wait 3 weeks.  It use to bother me just when I swallowed, but now it's bothering me consistently.  It's as if someone is pressing their finger on my throat.  I have no pain, can eat and drink fine, feel fine, no acid reflux or anything like that, etc.  I am 41 years old.  What could this be?  Thank you.

My husband had the exact same thing at the base of his throat.  It was feflux even though he had no other issues - 1 week on Nexium and he was fine.  Also you might notice it isnt as bad when you wake up, reduce your food and water intake before going to bed and avoid overeating, that seem to cause flareups.
