Flatworms

Hello, i'm not sure if this is the right area to ask this but its the closest i could find.

Many months ago I was having bad stomach pain/problems, tests were conducted but nothing showed up. They eventually diagnosed me with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The stomach problems are still present but much more mild.

I was not happy with the diagnosis, as I thought something more was going on.

Yesterday,  will not say exactly how I obtained it, but I found a flatworm which came from my anus.
I am going in to be retested, but until that time  would like to know what kind of worm it is.

It was white, maybe slightly pinkish, only about a few millimeters across, 3-4 cm long at the most. It may have been longer and ripped, but 3-4 cm from what I've seen.  It had the long body, "flaps" coming off each side of its head, then a point after that. It was too small for me to see if it was segmented or not. I think it had what looked like a black dot in the center of its head.

It would take too long to list detailed symptoms, so ill list only a few major ones: Pain, diarrhea, nausea, weakness, fatigue. I have not been losing weight.

Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I forgot to add, though I said it had flaps it did not look like the "arrowhead" ones Ive seen in pictures, bigger and more rounded flaps.
