I had my gallbladder removed on April 2, 2007 through open surgery after giving birth of my baby son (Caesarean) on December 29, 2006. There were at least 20 very small structure stones found in the gallbladder. However, even after removal I continue to feel pain quite frequently in my right front chest. The pain gets more worse after a long strecth work. I am maintaining a good diet and try to eat small amount in regularRegular insulin intervals. Recently, I had MRI scan and it is observed that a small stone has been formed in the bile duct. What could be the cause of pain and what is the solution for that?
I have no experience with this, but facing gallbladder surgery (no stones) I have been reading a lot about it and I have come across a lot of posts and articles where a stone remains in the duct & needs to be removed. From what I have read it can turn into something very serious, they need to get it out before it moves from the duct. I heard from other people that had this condition, that their stones were mobile and if they went into your organsOrgan-1 nr it could cause some serious damage that can be permanent. Don't procrastinate on this, push your dr. for a solution.
There were MANY posts on this site about it, just scroll thru them, make sure you look thru a good 6 pages and anything that talks about gallbladder, pain on right side and surgery take a look at, most of those are about this type stuff.
