G/J feeding tube problem help!

Hello I have Superior mesenteric artery (SMA) syndrome is a very rare, life-threatening gastro-vascular disorder ..I require a G/J feeding tube to help maintain weight nutrients etcs..I have had the tube since May of 2011 no problem with the feed ..The last 2 weeks Im unable to tolerate my feeds now..I recently had it adjusted on Thursday to see if that would help the problem but no luck..Im starting to vomit my feeds now..That was my only hope to survive this disease..I know there's other tubes i can try but its not the tube i cant tolerate its the feeds i have ..I had try'd another one with more calories etc i was unable to tolerate it..Just wondering if anyone had any insight on this problem,advise etc that would be great..I am waiting on my doctors call to see what he has to see ..Im just curious Thanks!

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I also have a GJ tube but for different reasons.  Are you fed into your J port?  If so, you might want to have your doctor check to make sure the J port didn't migrate itself into your stomach.  If you are fed in your G port or do bolus feedings, you could ask your doctor about switching to continuous feedings in your J port.  You could also ask your doctor about trying a different formula.  Good luck and send me a private message if you have any more questions!!!
