ON A PRIOR ULTRASONIC ENDOSCOPY FOUND STONES THAT HE NOW BELIEVES ARE MY CLIPS FROM THE GALLBLADDER SURG. AFTER ERCP. BILE FLOWING O.K. BUT I CONTINUE TO HAVE SEVERE BILE DUCT SPASMS AFTER EATING USUALLY WITHIN TEN MINUTES AND PAIN THAT RADIATES UP RT.SIDE OF BACK. I HAVE TRIED 4 ANTI-SPASMS WHICH ONLY NELEV HAS WORKED SOME. MY GASTRO DOC NOW THINKS I HAVE IBS..NO WAY I HAVE NO LOWER ABD PAIN.... I AM SO TIRED OF THESE GAMES. NO ONE CAN EXPLAINED WHY THE BILE DUCT IS SO ENLARGED..PANCREAS PROBLEM. ALSO, SOME LIVER ENZYMES ARE ELEVATED. THANKS..I WOULD APPRECIATED ANY HELP.

your best bet seems to be to change your gastro specialest take all test that have been ran on your bile duct and all other test to them and see what they say i know your no doubt fed up with doctors but second ,third enen forth ,opions is the only way it seems that patients can get a diagnoses .there are good doctors out there you just have to wade through the bull before getting to them .someone else on the forum  may have some info on bile duct so check back a little later to see if you have another responce .best of luck

Ask to be tested for Chronic pancreatitis. Thats when they do an ERCP with manometry. I hear not many Drs preform it. Good luck

I agree with Lor.  Ask your Gastro doctor's opinion of having and ERCP done.  Also ask him/her about the possibility of doing a sphincterotomy at the same time.  That's where they go in a cut what they call the "nipple valve".  I'm having and ERCP with sphincterotomy done on the 14th. I have done alot of research on the internet and all the research tells me to make sure my doctor is "skilled" in this procedure.  The doctor I have selected has done over a 1,000 of these procedures with extremely good results.  I'll keep you posted.  If you have any additional questions I might be able to answer, please feel free to email me:  ***@****.  Take care and best of luck!
