. This led to gagging and vomitting. Most of the time I wouldn't actually vomit up food (although I did ocassionaly) but it would be this clear mucus stuff. Went to see my doctor who sent me to an ENT
and the gastro believed that it was post nasal drip related to allergies (which I do have). Went back to the ENT who said it was NOT from post nasal drip and prescribed Nexium 40mg twice daily, although i feel no heartburn. During this time I also had a barium swallow which showed acid reflux and an endoscopy which did not show anything.
I also expirience nausea but it is in my neck. I get this pressure in my chest too and I feel the need to burp but I don't know how, instead I get throat gurgles. I am also expiriencing difficulty it taking a deep breath. I seem to be clearing my throat and coughing more than usual. What could this be? Asthma? thyroid? I'm an 18 year old female. No stress or anxiety except for these feelings.
Hi, I was wondering, have you found a solution to your problem? I currently have similar symptoms to those last ones you mentioned - I often feel chest pressure and the need to burp, but get throat gurgles instead, and also can't take a deep breath around the time when these throat gurgles (sometimes burps) occur. If you found a solution, please email me at hayl storms @ gm ail.com (take out the spaces). Thank you.
It sounds very much like acid reflux. The only symptoms that I had was coughing and mucus. Went to lung dr and had all the tests everything ok there. Back to GI dr. who didn't think it was reflux because no pain only coughing. Had all the test including 24 hr ph test (fun) which showed I was coughing when I had acid reflux. My cough was so hard that it was causing other problems like blood pressure. Finally had Nissen and all I can say is if this ever turns out to need surgery only let the best bariatric surgeon you can find who has lots of Nissen's with loose wrap under his belt touch you. I had no side effects and am doing great, but there are loads of horror stories out there. The surgeon makes the difference.
