GERD and Wine

by Tamarack, Jan 11, 2008 07:11PM
I was diagnosed with GERD and recently had an endoscopy from which the Dr. biopsied a small area that he said is Barrett's syndrome. I am on Protonix for treatment, and am changing my diet to eliminate, spicy, fatty, citrus and coffee, although I occasionally enjoy a glass of wine. Is an occasional glass of wine okay or should I just eliminate that also?

Try.

I have no stomach problems, but wine may cause a burning feeling to me. Wine is preety much an acid. So, it depends on your symptoms.
