GI problems--hard stomach, blaoting, pain! HELP!

I am a 22 year old female who is overall a healthy individual. I have been having GI issues for the last couple years, and don't know what is causing them or if there is something that can make them better. I am 5'7'' 130lbs. I often experience bloating and abdominal pain. This bloating is not like menstrual bloating. My stomach often feels hard and extended. This occus at all different times. I thought maybe it was because of my diet. I have pretty good eating habits. My diet consists of grilled chicken, fish, cereal, fruits/veggies, yogurt...that sort of thing. I do not eat a lot of junk food. However, sometimes I experience these symptoms when I haven't had anything to eat. At times, I will wake up in the morning feeling fine then as the day goes on even before I have eaten anything my stomach will begin to feel very full and hard. The pain I am experiencing is not a sharp pain or anything of that sort. Almost like a constipation type pain that is more uncomfortable and irritating than actually painful. I am currently in nursing school so I do admit my schedule is a bit crazy. There are some times when I do not find time to eat for large amounts of time because of my demanding schedule, and I am under a great deal of stress. Also, I am a smoker and smoke about a half pack of cigarettes/day...don't know if that could be contributing. I do drink coffee every morning with two packs of sweet-n-low in each cup and two tablespoons of creamer. Sometimes after consuming coffee I do experience these symptoms. Other times I do not. There seems to be no consistent pattern with these symptoms so that is where my confusion comes into play. Do you know what this could be? Please help!

coffee and cigarettes cause your problems. Nicotine causes your colon to contract and misfire nerves not letting gas and other waste move freely, and coffee releasing ephinephrine 'stress hormone' to cause your intestines to do the same. You must quit these if you want to be healthy and feel better. It will take 3 weeks for your colon and intestines to adapt to not having nicotine in your system. Quit the cancer sticks
