GT Gamma

I Have had a reading of 188 on my Gamma GT i have not had a drink for more than 6 months my previous reading was 153, do i need to worry about this reading and can anything else cause the gamma reading to increase

GGT can easily go up even with stress, some drugs, slight liver congestion (mostly due to heart failure), hepatitis, fatty liver, bile ducts disease, kidney disease. This would cause much more prominent rise of GGT as in your case.

You were diagnosed with some liver disease inthe past?
