Gall Bladder Misery

Gall Bladder Misery

Hi there -
I had my Gall Bladder removed 7 months ago. Since then I will have frequents bouts of what starts as nausea, then quickly moves to diarreha and then vomitting. The bouts will last 1-3 hours along with chills and sweats! It's awful. Like having the flu all the time. I can't seem to relate it to any particular foods. I do not drink or smoke. I dont eat red meat. I dont eat high fat foods or fast foods.

My doc says to give it time, it will go away. It is almost unbearable to live with!
Help!!!!!!!

Hi Mandi,

I've been dealing with a similar situation for 3 1/2 years now but mine is accompanied by an excruciating pain in my upper stomach (not right or left side, just anywhere above the belly button).  I was diagnosed with gastroparesis about 6 months after having my gallbladder out, the pain usually causes the vomiting and sometimes diarrhea.  I end up curled up in a fetal position on my bed for atleast a few hours until it stops, I have to take Reglan to try to speed up my stomach because Levsin (sp?) slows it down too much.  Have you been tested for gastroparesis?  What your going through is not normal, keep pushing until you find out what's wrong.  Good luck!
