Gall Bladder Surgery

by annagallstones, Jul 06, 2003 12:00AM
I have recently been diagnosed with gall stones after repeated gall bladder attacks.  After visiting with a surgeon,I am in the process of determining whether or not I am going to have the Laparoscopic surgery.  Approximately three years ago I had liposuction done in my stomach area.  Would having the liposuction done prevent the surgeon from doing the gall bladder surgery laparoscopic?

No, it wouldn't. When someone has had lots of surgery inside the abdominal cavity, it can make laparoscopy difficult or not possible; but surface work like you had should make no difference.
