Gall stones

Hi my husband who is 26, is waiting for keyhole surgery in his gall bladder. Every day he wakes up in alot of pain he keeps being sick with this pain. I wanted to know if their was any strong pain relif he could take while he is waiting for his operation. many thanks

Something that works for me: (1) as strong a pan med as you can get your hands on (preferably prescription: I have Lorazepam, but a few Tylenol might do the trick) and (2) an antacid, preferably liquid, like Maalox. (Another option is Alka Seltzer with Pain Relief.) A bonus is something like GasX. As soon as the pains start, the antacid/pain relief/anti-gas combo. The antacid and gas relief will help with any bloating, and the pain med will help with any pain. It will take a few mins to an hour to start working well, but pain subsides pretty quickly after that.
