Hi everyone, im new here and just thought i would ask for your help.. About a year ago i was having pains o my ight side under m ri area, my Dr sent me for an ultrasound and it came back normal.. I did not think anything of it becuase i was only hurting once a month or once every 2 months, well about 1 month ago my side started hurting again, But it was after everything i ate, Did not matter if it as a piece of fruit, break, or a big fat cheesburger and fries, about 20 mins after eating my side would kill me.....Now if i got up in the morning and did not anything until 2 in the afternoon i would  fine......... Again i went to the Dr's and he says he would bet money its my gallbladder, SO i went for a ultrasound today it came ack FINE! So now im going for a hida scan.. uhggg In the meantime my paid never goes away dont matter if i eat or not, i awake with the pain and go to bed with the pain....Im having bowel movements within an hour after eating anything, having indigestion terrible, i feel like all my food is stuck in my throat a all times.... I wake up sick to my stomach and im just feeling yecky.
My question is
what are the chaes this test willcome bac fine also? I cant take this much longer while we are playing the waiting gae....
Also when you had your gallbladder pain, did it hurt when you moved? I mean when i bend or turn a certain way it fees as thou im twisting or somthing is going on in that same spot?
Normal?
Could it be something else other then GB?
Thanks

thanks everyone for your thoughts..... Yea im just going to have to play this game and do what the Dr says i guess! He did tell me that 35 percent of peple with a bad gallbladder, tests will come back all fine. He knows a Dr who will take it out anyways but he wont even look at me until we go thru the steps of the tests first...
I actually feel really good today.. Will this gallbladder pain go away and then come back again?

I know what your going through. Ive had severe URQ pain since Aug 2007. Ive been through every test imaginable, the proverbial ultrasound, CT scan, blood tests, a HIDA scan, a gastric emptying study, and an upper GI. Every single test came back normal. Ive been to the ER 3 times. The first time, my internist wanted to admit me, but I chickened out. They had pumped me full of stadol, and I was probably too fuzzy headed to make that kind of decision. The 2nd time I went to the ER, it was at 10:30 on a Friday night. I ended up with a female doctor who came back with a diagnosis that had nothing to do with my symptoms. I shoulda asked for a male doctor. I don't trust female doctors. The third time was on a Friday afternoon and they kept me from 1:30 to 6:30. Ive been put on prilosec, librax, and am currently on tramadol and elavil. As for having gallstones, you could still have uncalcified gallstones. That type wouldnt show up on any test. But even if the scan comes back normal, keep on the doctors. My thoughts are with you and your test.

The hida scan should give you some answers.  You obviously don't have gallstones or the US would have picked them up.  However, people can have diseased, or simply malfunctioning gallbladders that cause the same problems.  The hida scan evaluates how well your gallbladder functions.  Towards the end of the test, they will inject you with CCK that makes the gallbladder contract.  The scan then measures how much is ejected from your gallbladder.  If your ejection fraction is low, that means your gallbladder isn't able to do it's job as well as normal.  Some people get very nauseated when the CCK injection happens.  If that occurs with you, make sure you mention it to the technician as that is one symptom of a poorly functioning gallbladder.
