I had my gallbladder removed 4 weeks ago and still have pain in my upper right under ribRib cage pain area! Anyone know what this is? Making an appointment with surgeon to follow up.
If you're not already doing so, try sticking to a low fat diet and see if that helps. You may not be able to process fats the way you did before the surgery and if you are injesting them it may be stressing your system a bit.
Your doc will probably tell you all is well, but if this continues, make sure to insist on being tested, especially if you had the presence of stones or sludge in your gallbladder. At times, some of the stones or sludge can escape into the commonCommon cold bile duct and the pain will continue.
