I had sharp pains in my chest and back after fattyXanthoma meals. I had 3 sessions of hydrocolontherapy and started taking fiber supplements regularly. Problem solved. A year later, I started having sharp pains again, and was eventually hospitalized. I had endoscopes and sphyncterotomy. Over the last several years, I have managed my diet, stayed away from the fats, but still suffer occasional attacks. This last January, had another ER visit with BAD pains again. I had an MRI to check for stones, another endoscope and colonoscopy. All negative, and my Gastro DR. prescribed a med that would thin my bile. Last night was family night out for dinner and movie. Pizza with the works and chest pains again during movie. I have surrendered to the fact that if I indulge in a high fat meal, I may suffer the painful attacks. But, what is it? Is there a stone floating around? Am I producing stones. Why is the pain in my chest and back identical to the pain I had prior to surgery?
