Gallbladder remove

Ultrasound resolve shown that I have a 4mm gallstone. After saw a specialist, he recommended to have a surgery to remove gallbladder. Should I go ahead with his advise? I don't have any symptom. I'm 46 years old male.

Thank you

If you're not having symptoms and the stone isn't blocking the outlet of the gallbladder into the common bile duct (the cystic duct) then there should be no reason to remove the gallbladder. Many people live for years with stones that they never know they have because they have no symptoms.
